Premier League Matchday 38 gets underway on Sunday as all 20 teams hit the pitch for the final time in the 2022-2023 campaign. While Manchester City earned its third consecutive title last weekend, there is still plenty at stake in the finale. Teams continue to jockey for positioning in the standings as some clubs eye a trip to the European stage while others attempt to avoid relegation.
Below I’ve narrowed in on my top three wagers for Sunday’s final matchday in England! Let’s finish the season with a profitable Sunday.

Everton (-220) vs. Bournemouth (+600), DRAW +380 | 2.5 (-145/+120)
While this Everton (33 points) and Bournemouth (39 points) match may not be at the top of most people’s lists, it is an intriguing tie as it has relegation implications. The People’s Club has just a two-point edge in the table over both Leicester and Leeds as they attempt to avoid getting sent down. Kickoff, like all other matches on the final matchday, is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. ET. Goodison Park in Liverpool is the site of the season finale.
I’m rolling with Everton to get it done Sunday morning, as this is essentially a must-win match. However, as it comes with a hefty -220 price tag, I’ll pair it with the over.
Bournemouth has lost its last three matches in the Premier League, with two of them seeing at least two goals. Furthermore, the Cherries have given up the second-most goals in the league this year (70). Everton has scored eight goals over their last four matches (2.0 GPG), so look for them to find the back of the net a couple of times. All things considered, I’m expecting Everton to get the job done and keep their position in the top flight of English football for a 69th straight season.
Bet: Everton Win & Over 1.5 Goals (-145)
Southampton (+650) vs. Liverpool (-260), DRAW +450 | 3.5 (+100/-120)
It’s been an awful year for Southampton, as they’re currently dead last in the league with a record of 6-6-25 (24 points). They’ve dropped their last five matches while going winless in 12 straight (0-3-9). The Saints will host a red-hot Liverpool (66 points) side on Sunday at St. Mary’s Stadium.
I’m laying the 1.5 goals with Liverpool in this match. What had been a very underwhelming season was swiftly turned around when Jurgen Klopp’s side rattled off seven straight victories starting in April. The streak came to an end last time out when they drew 1-1 with Aston Villa at Anfield.
Considering the disparity in roster talent between these two clubs, I expect the Reds to dominate the match and win by at least two goals. Southampton has conceded the third-most goals this season (69), while Liverpool has scored the third-most (71). On top of that, I simply feel that Liverpool is a club that won’t have any mercy. If Mo Salah and Roberto Firmino get an opportunity to shine against a lowly team, they’ll gladly score as many goals as they can get. Let’s ride with the Reds.
Bet: Liverpool -1.5 (-110)
Arsenal (-275) vs. Wolves (+700), DRAW +450 | 3.5 (+115/-140)
The Gunners (81 points) squandered their chances for a league title as they went just 2-3-3 over their last eight matches. They’re firmly cemented in a top-four position at this point, and they’ll play a home match against Wolves (41 points) on Sunday at Emirates Stadium. Wolverhampton is safely in the middle of the pack and doesn’t have room to climb, either.
While Arsenal hasn’t cashed on the Both Teams To Score (BTTS) prop in three straight matches, they were on a streak of seven straight before the drought. Wolverhampton has cashed the BTTS prop in five of its last 11 matches.
Considering there isn’t a whole lot to play for in this match, aside from personal pride, I lean towards things opening up and the offenses finding success. Arsenal has struggled defensively down the stretch run, surrendering 17 goals over their last 10 competitions (1.7 GAA). However, on the offensive end, they’ve enjoyed plenty of scoring this campaign as they’re second in the Premier League in goals scored (83). Look for both teams to notch at least one goal in the finale!
Bet: Both Teams To Score (-140)
