Romania vs. Netherlands Over 2.5 Goals (-106)
It’s hard to know what to make of either of these teams after the Group Stage. The Dutch struggled in all three of their matches, totaling four points and a goal differential of zero. Despite their struggles, they did score two goals in two of their three matches, and they managed to shut out a strong French side.
Meanwhile, Romania was wildly inconsistent recording a 3-0 win, a 2-0 loss, and a 1-1 tie. We expect the Dutch to figure it out before this game, as they roll to an easy victory. However, if they do struggle again, then we think it’s going to be on the defensive side that their weakness shows. Either way, the Dutch are going to score multiple goals in this game, it’s just a matter of one of these teams finding a way to get the total to three.
Austria 3-Way Moneyline (-105)
Austria was an offensive powerhouse in the Group Stage, scoring three goals in each of their last two matches of the round. Most impressive was their 3-2 victory over the Netherlands in the final match of group play. In that match, they compiled five shots on goal compared to just two for the Dutch, and they possessed the ball for nearly 48% of the game.
All of this is going to prove too much for Turkey, who was able to qualify because they played in a weak group in the Group Stage. In their biggest test, they lost 3-0 to Portugal. It is unlikely they will enjoy the same success against Austria, although they scored three goals against Georgia. The Austrians have allowed goals at this tournament, but Turkey isn’t strong enough offensively to truly challenge. Austria wins this one with ease.
Austria Over 1.5 Goals (-104)
Austria was shut out 1-0 by France in their first match of the tournament. Since then, they’ve had no issues scoring. On the other side, Turkey have allowed at least one goal in each of their three games thus far.
However, it’s not only this tournament that gives us confidence in this prop. These two teams played a Friendly on March 26 and Austria scored six goals in that match. Two of those goals came off penalties and another was scored in stoppage time, but they still managed two goals by halftime and three in the first 48 minutes. This price feels like a mistake.
